House Tour | LA's Modern Villa

This is one of my favorite types of architecture, a European Villa. This project by Daniel Cuevas is captivating with satisfaction to all the humanly senses. Cuevas is known for his skillful practices in creating refined interiors that manage to embrace modernity with a sense of history that never weighs the space down. The aesthetic of this home located in Beverly Hills showcases contemporary furniture,  large-scale art and well planned outdoor living spaces with lushly landscaped gardens all around the home.

You could be in Santa Barbara or Spain or anywhere in the world here.
— Daniel C. Cuevas

Cuevas created a beautiful and serene backdrop for the interior that plays off the Spanish-style exterior using a color palette of grays, crisp white walls, and sparsely adding vivid accent colors. As covered in Veranda, "Cuevas designed the house as a series of courtyards and gallery-like hallways that feature sculpture, large-scale contemporary art, and shapely antique furniture as focal points". I'm in love with the home's architectural details conceived in the ceiling treatments and natural stone fireplace mantels to the decos in the tile flooring. Cuevas incorporated European influences with contemporary proportions and custom iron doors and windows with picturesque views of the courtyards and gardens.
